NYEvent Murals

		NYSketches founding artist Rebecca Miller will come to your event and paint a mural in vibrant colors, inviting uet to stop to have their portrait added to the mural throughout the event. Event Murals include a preliminary design phase in which Rebecca will work with you to incorporate branding concepts, event logos, or slogans. Event Murals are completely custom and can be created in any size, and are suitable for a one day event, or multi day event.

		After the event, the mural is yours to keep, and you may use its image for promotional purposes. Event Murals are a great way to commemorate a corporate sponsored event in and provide interactive artistic entertainment in which attendees can participate. Event Murals are great for sporting events, fashion shows, movie openings, store openings, and product launches.

NYTattoos

Our NYTattoo artists will come to your event, and hand paint dazzling temporary tattoos (last 2-5 days, resist water, & can be removed with rubbing alcohol). We use hypoallergenic temporary tattoo ink, made especially for the skin & used by makeup artists on runway models, rock stars, & actors on film & TV! Your guests may choose from a large variety of designs in our design books. Designs range from tribal patterns, Asian characters, flowers, dragons, & more!

We offer two types of temporary tattoo techniques, each of which have benefits:

HANDPAINTED TEMPORARY TATTOOS: NYSketches tattoo artists will handpaint virtually any design of choice! With handpainted tattoos, guests can choose from designs in our expansive designs books, OR ask from something TOTALLY CUSTOM, eg. a one of a kind design, a name, a phrase, team logo, etc. Our handpainted tattoos come in black only, alternative colors are available upon special request.

AIRBRUSH TEMPORARY TATTOOS: NYSketches airbrush tattoo artists will airbrush designs quickly before your eyes with a huge selection of airbrush stencils from which your guests can choose. Airbrush tattoos are great for large parties, as they take much less time than handpainted tattoos, however, party goers are limited to the stencils provided. Airbrush tattoos can be applied in multiple colors.

NYBodyCrystals

Our NYBodyCrystal Artists will adorn you and your guests with sparkling Swarovski crystals. You may choose from colorful body paint or elegant black tattoo ink with which our artists will paint beautiful designs accented with crystals & glitter!

Add STYLE to your party with FASHION SKETCHES! Hire a skilled fashion illustrator to come to your event and draw each of your guests as FASHION ILLUSTRATIONS- just like in magazines! Our NYFashionSketch artists come fully prepared with drawing materials & paper. When sitting for a fashion sketch, each person can choose their pose & what kind of fashion style they'd like- from the latest fashion's on Sex & the City, in Vogue Magazine, your favorite star's outfit worn at the Oscars... you name it! Finishing Touches are also available to protect your fashion sketch.

NYCharacters
Have one of your child's favorite characters at your party! NYCharacters will come to your event, dance, & play games with your guests. Polaroids of our NYCharacter and your guests are also available for your guests to keep as a party memento! Choose from an assortment of clowns, from traditional white face/red nose to clowns with no white face, and less makeup. NYClowns will come to your event & play games, create magic, make balloons, facepaint, and even intergrate storytelling (great for the little ones!)- you may choose which combination of entertainment you'd like the clown to provide. NYClowns customize each appearance to the age of your guests, your taste, the type of event, and size of your party.

NYStorytelling
NYStorytellers will come to your event stimulate your guests creative imagination with all kinds of tales. Our storytellers customize each appearance to the age & needs of your audience. You may choose a custom story, created especially for your child based on his/her interests & personality (story is created before the party date), or pick from folktales from around the world. Stories are told through participatory movements, sounds, & lots of interaction. NYStorytellers can provide stories for small parties as well as stage performances for schools or large events.

Animal Rhythms

Desert Travels

NYDance/Storytelling Theater
NYSKETCHES has teamed up with Treehouse Shakers, a children's dance/theater group who offer two different dance/theater performances for kids. The stories, elaborate costumes, and music have been custom designed and composed for these ONE OF A KIND performances. Each performance is fully interactive, and last approx. 45 minutes:

ANIMAL RHYTHMS are two African folktales told through modern dance, rhythmic sounds, and storytelling. Through the use of body drumming, modern dance and storytelling, Animal Rhythms follows several animals as they learn about helping, sharing, working and friendship. Children in the audience will be able to create the sounds of the ancient story drum using their own bodies and are introduced to modern dance through the characters onstage. Additionally, the performance is accompanied by a live drummer too!

DESERT TRAVELS- TALES FROM MIDDLE EAST is a performance mixing modern dance, storytelling and live music that tells Middle Eastern folktales. The stories teach lessons of generosity, forgiveness and cooperation through characters like a princess who marries a rat, desert sand turns into a tent, and a stork who speaks!

NYLive Cartoon

NYSKETCHES has teamed up with Theater Moves- a modern day Laurel & Hardy duo whose performances are great for all ages- kids to adults. In their performances, they piece together finely timed movement with dialogue, soundtracks and music, creating a humorous and poignant theater. Their sense of play and resilient on-stage friendship enable them to explore themes of conflict, power and control without losing sight of their humanity.

IMAGINATION IN MOTION This athletic movement theater performance draws on various theatrical styles, including mime, modern dance, and vaudeville - but turns these traditions upside down by combining them with dialogue, audience participation and a delightfully original soundtrack. The result is a program that is engaging to people of all ages. Highlights include the creation of a mechanical man who runs amok while the audience cheers, a boy's struggle to escape from within a video game, & giant vacuum cleaner that sucks both performers offstage. Performance lasts approx. 45 min.

NYStunts
Are you into FEARFACTOR? NYStunt performers will AMAZE your guests with performances combining vaudeville sideshow, stand-up comedy, visual effects & a whole lot of fun! Members of our CIRCUS troupe can escape from straight jackets, eat worms & roaches & even GLASS, walk on glass, juggle & swallow fire, swallow swords, lay down on a bed of nails, balance a chain-saw on their head, glow in the dark & vanish before your eyes, get into a 6 foot weather balloon, & even run electricity through their entire body (without getting hurt!). NYStunt performers can perform choreographed eye-popping stage shows, as well as smaller scale strolling entertainment for private parties.

NYKids Rock Funtime Band Rock out with our AMAZING & incredibly HIP Kids Rock Funtime Band! The completely interactive band (made up of grown-ups) belts out tunes that accompany outlandish stories that entertain both kids & adults! Songs include a reggae style "Hundred Thousand Clowns Catching Waves Day," a B-52's like "Time Is at an End," a ska infused "ClownaNagila," and other great songs with vibrant imagery like "Mr. Clown and the Day the Sun Got Wet." The band is great for kids of all ages (teens & pre-teen'll think their cool too!).

Pirate Circus Party Entertainers

NYPirate Circus Party
Available for pillaging, plundering, and the odd birthday party, Cap’n Mary and Billy Bones offer an uncommon blend of theatrics and clowning skills. Their ability to relate to children encourages parents to ask them back again and again. These pirates weave magic, puppetry, face-painting, juggling, and storytelling to create an entertaining experience that parents and children alike will love. Each event is really two shows in one: a stage show and an active ‘on-their-feet’ section. All party programs use age-appropriate material and are non-gender specific. These artists can create customized characters and adapt their performances to suit each audience and event.

BE in the Circus Party
Learn the tricks of the trade from professional circus performers. Our circus performers will teach your guests’ children friendly stunts and tricks, dress your guests in costumes, and paint faces. The culmination of this party is a grand circus finale performed by the kids for the parents.

NYTarot Card & Palm Readings

Enjoy these ancient arts whose long histories stretch back over hundreds of years. During a tea leaf reading, guests will drink a cup of tea, leaving a bit of leaves in the cup. The cup is then turned over and the remaining leaves are put in a saucer. Our tea leaf readers will read the patterns formed by the leaves and explain their meaning to you. Our Tarot card reader will lay out the cards to give a positive and fun reading. Our palm reader will study the lines in your guests’ palms and give a positive reading on subjects like love, family, relationships, and business.
